Hyundai has presented a $100,000 cheque to the Australian Cancer Research Foundation Bowel Cancer Australia in support of Blue September, an annual campaign which raises awareness about cancer in men.
It is the third consecutive year Hyundai Motor Company Australia and the Hyundai dealer network have supported Blue September.
As an annual nationwide charity programme, Blue September raises awareness and aims to help men reduce the risk of developing cancer by sharing the message that making healthy lifestyle choices can prevent male cancer deaths.
Hyundai has also supported the campaign with a nationwide competition in which a person could win a Hyundai Accent Elite hatch, after visiting www.blueseptember.org.au and making a donation of $5 or more, during the month of September.
Hyundai’s commitment involved a national campaign that saw the Hyundai dealer network pledge to donate $100 from each new vehicle sold during the Hyundai ‘3-Day Sale’ to Blue September. Almost 1,000 vehicles were sold over the three days, raising $100,000 for this vital cause.
